|  Twenty-eight-year-old Natalie Horler is the face of Cascada, and it’s her powerful voice which sets the German Eurodance outfit apart in a genre where artists are often interchangeably anodyne. Part girl-next-door, part Ann Summers catalogue vixen, her image is at once fun and assertive with a charmingly cheeky edge. Third album 'Evacuate the Dancefloor', released earlier this year, has seen Cascada expand their musical range, with some tracks coming much closer in style to the glossy R&B of Lady Gaga than the beat-heavy Eurodance of DDR games and fairground rides. Riding high on the success of the title track and first single, they're soon embarking on a Clubland tour with N-Dubz, Darren Styles and Agnes, which includes a date at the HMV Hammersmith Apollo on 5 December. I caught up with the bubbly Horler on a long-distance phone call to Germany, where she resides, to get the dirt on Cascada's new sound, their upcoming UK tour and her take on London. Hi Natalie. Firstly, I'd like to clarify: are you considered to be Cascada, or are you the image and vocalist of what is, in fact, a group?Natalie Horler: We actually are a group. I work with two producers [Yanou and Manian] and the three of us make up Cascada. They just don't come on tour, that's all; I do the whole live bit and they do all the producing. They've always chosen to stay low-profile where I've always been the face of everything, that's why sometimes there's a misconception.What about the song-writing, is that a collective process?NH: Yes. Corey Taylor married Stephanie Luby at Las Vegas's Palms Hotel, where the wedding party walked down the aisle to Metallica's "For Whom The Bell Tolls." and wrote that down and I had to correct it and she was like "uh, get it right"
I've always been terrible at math and anything to do with numbers and this has happened
before but I thought nothing of it, I thought it'd go away or something but now, I'm
miscounting more and the reversing is happening more frequently.
I have a dermatologist appointment December 10th, I guess I'll have to talk to him about it to see if he can set me up with someone else. | |

| A Minute With: Michael Fassbender and his "Fish Tank" He may not be a household name in the United States, but Michael Fassbender is fast becoming one of the hottest young stars in Hollywood. The actor got his big break when Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks cast him in their "Band of Brothers" World War Two mini-series. He also appeared in the hit movie "300." In August, Fassbender drew acclaim for his portrayal of undercover British military man Archie Hicox in Quentin Tarantino's "Inglourious Basterds." Other celebrities are expected to attend as well with their dogs. Staged at the Rivera & Rivera gallery in downtown Los Angeles, the event is catered to raise funds via raffle tickets as well as to serve as an animal adoption fair. Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are breaking into high-end jewelry design with Asprey via a capsule collection of gold jewelry and silver accessories called The Protector — and inspired by the snake.
The limited edition collection, which was conceived and designed by Pitt and Jolie, has been in the works for more than a year, and will go on sale at Asprey stores in London, New York, Beverly Hills, Tokyo and Dubai later this week, according to Asprey officials.
Prices start at $525 for a silver baby spoon with a curving, serpent-shaped handle, and all net proceeds from sales will go to Education Partnership for Children of Conflict, which was cofounded by Jolie in 2006. |  In honour of the 10th Birthday of Whatsonstage.com, James Earl Jones and Jeremy Irons are to announce the nominations for the first audience empowered theatre award at Cafe de Paris on December 4th. The timely addition of a new category, 'Theatregoers Choice' to the acclaimed Whatsonstage.com Theatre Awards is welcomed the end of the noughties, giving theatre buffs the opportunity to consider the longer running theatre heavyweights and crowd-pleasers as well as new, memorable productions from the last year.
The nominations party will be a star-studded event attended by a host of Broadway and West End legends including James earl Jones and Jeremy Irons, Sanaa Lathan (Brown Sugar, The Family That Preys) and Phylicia Rashad , who played the legendary Clair Huxtable in The Cosby Show and received a Tony award for her role in A Raisin in the Sun.
After the nomination party on December 4th, the voting commences. Voters will be able to text their choice or vote online. The award ceremony itself will be held on Sunday 14 February 2010 at the West End’s Prince of Wales Theatre in front of a live audience.
